Default Which intake and best carb

I am rebuilding a Corvette 1977 350 engine.
It is bored 30 over and a 3 angle valve job on the stock heads.
Now I am not sure what intake I should put on it.
Some have said Edelbrock Performer. Is there just a plain Performer and the EPS? Which would be better and will they fit under the hood of an 79 Vette? Also any ideas about the best carb for this. I am looking for just over 300 hp.
Thanks!

I've always been partial to Holley. I have a Holley Street Dominator aluminum intake and a 670 Holley Street Avenger....love em both!

A carb, intake, and valve job will not get you 300 HP. You'll need better flowing heads altogether, better flowing exhaust, and a more aggressive cam.

The Edelbrock Performer RPM and Air Gap RPM should fit with most carbs under that hood with a 2" drop base air cleaner and a 3" element.

The Performer manifold is ubiquitous but works well. And it's inexpensive. I have gone thru many MANY carbs since building my 383 and the Thunder 650 AVS seems to be the best running one I've ever had on it.

My car starts easier, runs better at idle, and has predictable performance at WOT that it never had with the Q-jets (had 3), or the Edlebrock 600's (had 2). Dyno tuning runs back to back show the same HP and torque readings, as when done 6-months apart. I get 275RWHP and 300 pounds of torque. Every time.

That's what I call consistency.
