I get the Summit catalog like everybody else and that's a new one to me. It's not exactly a Demon clone due to the lift-off lid; i.e., you can't remove just one float bowl at a time to work on it. Looks more to me like a clone of the old motorcraft 4300 carbs that used to come on some fords back in the late '60's-early '70's with the exception of the dual inlet. For $259 it seems like a decent deal, Summit has always stood behind their products pretty faithfully.
I guess I'd rather have someone else do the testing on these... they must be a chinese knock-off of some domestic carb. it's hard to imagine them doing an original design. Any input?
The price is certainly right.. but as they say.. you get what you paid for..
.. mostly but not always true.

looks exactly like the 4010/4011 aluminum main body carb holley tried
from 1990 to 1998 before they got rid of it.
Really weird comes with a 9.5 primary power valve that sucker opens quick lol.
The 4010/4011 had the fuel inlets coming out horizontally and these are aimed down which is better for most air cleaner bases, especially with a stock hood.
Other than that they look the same.
I used the Holley spreadbore mechanical secondary with manual choke for a DD for about 10 years. Used 3.5 power valves. Really liked it, but Holley discontinued the parts too. Wonder if they will interchange?
The Holley was a copy of the old Ford Autolite 4100 used in the 60's for their hipo engines.
Looked at the Summit install pdf and this is a knockoff, the castings are not the same, wonder if the top gasket will interchange?
that's a bad review then? hehehe
what were the issues?
They could have sorted out the bugs with a reman but, the ones I had didn't like any more than 5# fuel pressure, screws were cross threaded, baseplates were not flat etc., etc.
