alignment questions
OK, I know the specs for most cars...vettes included....so just exactly HOW odes the typical alignment machine KNOW for sure the exact specs of readout, as in what IS the 'frame of referance".....and if the rear tires are not equally far apart as the front, for instance, how exactly does the machine know that??? in other word how do they work...
not that one had a string, lazer, mirrors...but WHAT is the referance, and not just adjusting for level square on the horizontal...that's easy...it's on the vertical side to side and how does the gear know the distance from front to rear wheel centers....???
