All my stuff was antique from way back had it for along time before about 10 ys ago had it in a van some bastard stole the old van.

A yr ago or so summit had a brand of dial bore gauge I wanted looked into it to see if it was at least a US product it was I didn't really have to have it so all the sudden that brand showed up missing in my summit catalogs, called summit asked them what happened to the product they said they were not selling enough of them, so there invitation
to sell there product through summit was gone.

I used to work in an automotive warehouse many yrs ago so I know all about salesmen coming in trying to get someone elses product knocked off the self replaced with there product.

I don't like cheap tools.

Anyway I don't want to build something with money stuck in it with
plastigage and prayers, I don't think the main man pays that much attension to really silly ones has more important stuff to mess with .

Mine has been run into the 7500 rev limiter for years and then a quickey refresh of just rings, valve springs, and bearings and has been doing it ever since.
ive got a Team G Intake Manifold 2800-7200 RPM Range(7530), dart pro heads 215cc, blower solid cam 258/270 at .050, 1.6 lift, 646 exhaust, 112 deg lobe, the cam has been advanced 4 degrees, and very strong springs to take blower presures, so whats my chances?

That is enough cam to run a 383 over 8000 rpm. After a 500 mile break in. I would bump the rev limiter up to 7500 and in 3 gear in a 4 or 5 speed just floor it and watch the tach and see how well it pulls right into the rev limiter

The original idea of block filler was not to make the cylinder walls stronger, but to help stablize the bottom end if I recall.
