What year?

You have to remove the console panels and unbolt the 2 screws that hold the cluster to the console plate, you may even have to remove the center console shifter plate. Then there's screws on the side of and top of the cluster. Once the cluster moves out unplug the light and main harness out from the back. The clock is held in with 2 screws and a nut on the printed circuit board. The clock come out from the back.

I just replaced mine with a quartz clock a couple of days ago, these are the instructions I found and used http://www.corvettemagazine.com/2000.../tictocpg1.asp

It was fairly straight forward getting the cluster out was the hardest part, just took some time and jiggling and eventually it came out, easier to install than remove. Also, I removed 2 dead bulbs that were rattling around inside where the clock mounts. As I remember, pull the wiper **** off, unscrew the top bezel and pull it off, unbolt 1 wire from the wiper control and unplug, set to side. Then unscrew the cluster and wiggle it out, may take some patience, also if you've never had it out before you might have to pull the shifter console and unbolt from the bottom, see the instructions they show pictures of this, unhook your radio if you have it installed then pull the cluster down, you may need to unhook some lights and maybe the fuel gauge to get access to the clock to remove and install, no big deal just remember to plug everything back in. Took me about 2 hours, never tried it before, mine didn't have to be unbolted before, so somebody else had taken it apart before.

I upgraded the clock and console on my 72.

When taking out the center gauge console, the oil pressure gauge has a tube connected to it that needs to be removed in order to take the console out also. I dont know if this was replaced with an electrical gauge for older models, so that is another item you will want to check on.
