You need to take off the door panels and check the anti rattle units shown in the link above. There is some adjustment range so you might get by with adjusting the ones in there now.

The rollers in the tracks also contribute to the window loseness, clean up the tracks and look at the rollers and replace whatever parts are worn out. Don't be surprised that the rollers and pads are worn. They are not expensive but are a pain to replace, but worth it.

Door glass rattle can be caused by several problems. Most have mentioned the anti-rattle cushion and the rollers in the channels. Other items that could cause this would include the center pivot on the regulator gear, the rollers on the regulator, and the roller tracks being loose.

With the window ½ ways up, grab the glass and see if you have front to rear movement in the regulator. You should have a little bit but if not much. Next see if you can raise the rear of the door and lower the front (or teeter the glass). If you can do this, you definitely have a problem beyond the adjuster pads.

The door window adjuster pads are the most common failure in the door glass adjustment, and when you replace them you may also need to re-adjust. Just remember when you push out on the bottom of the glass, the reaction of the top of the glass is to move inward.

I have the assembly manual door adjustment instructions here: http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=102

I have the pads in a set of four for 27.89 here: http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...ducts_id=24196

If your outer door glass weather strip is toast no amount of adjustment will help.

Very True! The outer felt holds tension on the glass on the outside. One note too!

If you ever purchase these make sure you get the good set, the generic's are rubber and if you have power windows the rubber will drag on the glass sometimes so hard it will not allow the window to roll up all the way. (We have a note on the generics on the web site, but people still buy them). Here is the note: Door Felt. Coupe Outer RH Replacement with rubber wipe (THESE ARE WORKABLE REPLACEMENTS WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE THE 283061) This part is really generic, cheap and should only be purchased with reserve. We really do not advise you to purchase this item. And yet people still buy them???
