Default Distributor decode help needed

Hello fellows. I have a tach drive distributor w/vacuum advance that was on my '69 350/350HP, 4 speed car. I am going to be listing this in the parts for sale section and want to verify if it is correct. The band numbers are: 1111493 Delco Remy 9 B 10. There is also a number 350 cast into the upper shaft area. Thanks for any help. Tom

Thanks, so it looks like I have 300hp distributor. Interesting, no listing for a 350/350hp engine w/o TI. What about the date code? Tom

You didn't include your VIN or MOB in your OP. Interestingly the same p/n is used on the '69 350/350 w/o TI and '70 early production 350/350.

The NCRS black book and NCRS specification guide doesn't show build date codes for distributors. If it is anything like the body build date codes (and I'm not saying it is) than
B 10 would be Sep 10, 1968 for 1969 model year and Feb 10, 1970 for the 1970 model year.

Remember due to the strike at the plant 1970 MY did not start until Jan '70.

The 1111491 should be for the 350-350 but that dist is not TI. I think the black book says it is but in most books it shows a dwell of 28-32 so that would mean its not TI.

edit - doing some more checking I see the 493 is also listed as 350-350

I had a customer in years ago with a 491 dist in a 69 350-350 but dist had points and the car showed no signs of TI ever being on the car.Maybe the tag was switched.

Were did you find your reference on the 493? I have received some additional information which shows the '493' is correct for a 350/350 HP car. My car was 4speed. The car is gone now. Regards, Tom

I believe there was an error in the earlier posting... 1111493 is correct for 1969 350 hp (L46) distributor with no TI.
