Default AN Fitting question

Hello all,

I am nearly the end (knock on wallet) of my LT1 swap and am working on the Fuel lines. I want to do them in -6AN fittings. I figured out all the parts I need except the ones that will help me fit the braded steel lines with the stock steel lines that are stock on the car. (its 81 so it already has a return line) anyone have experience with AN fittings? I just did the tranny lines in braided steel and it came out great (pics as soon as I find my camera.

thanks

Bob

I am doing something similar to your setup. I am using the 3/8 fuel line as a return line for my setup. There are AN fitting that use a compression fitting on the steel line that go to an AN fitting. The 6 AN is an easy line to make up this way with a 3/8 line.

I saw those on summit, they always seem to refer to mating up with aluminum tubing. They work with steel too?

Some work with aluminum some work with steel. You just have to get the correct one. I went with Russell fittings but the others probably have the same type.
