Default Any electronics holding tranny?

I am moving my automatic 78 vette from it's current position. All dash, steering colum has been removed and wires unhooked. I cant get the rear tires to move when it is in nuetral. Is there something electronic holding tranny? Motor turns free. Shifter is all still hoked up correctly.
Thanks, Kirk

Nothing in the trans is electric. Either the shifter is in the wrong position or the parking brake is stuck.

Not exactly true- the only electrics in the tranny is the detent solenoid.

What I should have said is there's nothing electrical that will prevent the car from moving

The "park" pawl will prevent the output from turning is the tranny 'thinks' it is still in Park.

How long has it been sitting? My car was stuck by rust/corrosion after sitting in a storage unit for about 8 months, took a good shot on the go pedal to get it moving.
