I need vacuum!!!!!!!!!
I screwed up......I installed the Erson 286 solid when I put the Brodix 180s on there, and broke the engine w/a 750DP on a Torker, and besides the block being zero decked, and the heads trued, and PUMPING oil out of the front of the intake, and back....the car ran great.Very responsive, and sounded awesome w/a nice lope.....
I HAD to have the 6x2 crossram back on there, and needed to fix the oil leak anyways,and......it runs like crap!!!!It runs like crap w/normal driving conditions, and when I am going like 40 mph...it starts to bog down,so I have to feather the gas to keep it at that rate of speed. Not fun.
I will say this....I was turning onto the highway to go get some gas,and doing about 25 in 1st gear, and nailed it,and it was instantly sideways, came out of it,and grabbed 2nd,and instantly sideways,but.....one more ticket, and liscense are bye-bye.So...not very practical to run around town like that.Any suggestions?
I can't open the headlights now,but I don't really care about that, and would really like to run these 6x2s.
My drag racing old buddy said if I want the car to look cool for car shows, cause noone else has a set up like mine, and want to do cool rolling burnouts, then the 6x2s are fine, but if I want to enjoy the car,and hope in,and take road trips, then I need to go w/a airgap, and 750DP,or vacuum secondary.
Any suggestions. Can I make the wife ride shotgun w/a bicycle pump, and work that rascal to pull some vacuum from these 6 little guys??????

BTW a bike pump will give you pressure not vacuum.
The guy that specializes in these multi-carb setups said that he uses small cams, and they work fine for the street,but....I wanted a bigger cam,so......I went w/the 286.
I am trying to open 6 idle circuits w/10 pounds vacuum,or less, and hoping somehow that I can "beat" the guys input that have been running these since the late 50s.

THAT....sounds just like me.
Thanks for the thoughts.

It would be nice to make the headlights work, but I have them up most the time anyways, and not too big of a chore to open them manually. When you install that...please report.
