upper control arm shaft bend

upper control arm shaft bend
I am in the process of replacing the bushings in my upper control arms. Upon disassembly of the arm I noticed that the cross shaft has some bend in it just as it comes to the part with the hole in the shaft. Is this normal or do I have a bent shaft that need replacing? The bend would be in the vertical axis if the shaft was on the car. It seems to be this way on both shafts but would like to know before I continue on. Thanks for your help.
PS: If this bend is suppose to be there, which way should the bend be when installed, bend to the front of the car or rear?
