Default CS-144 clocking - BB no PS

Finally going with the CS-144 upgrade which is well documented, but I can not find anything on what clocking will work. Mounting at 12 and 6 and clocked at 6?
BB with PS has its own bracket different from the PS ones. I would hate to take the new alternator apart when I get it, and the alternator brackets are not up yet.

I'm pretty sure Gazman just installed a CS144 and he may have some very specific information for you. Do an advanced search using CS144 and his name in the search fields and see what comes up or just look through his threads that he's started.

Thanks Durango_Boy
I found it. It looks like the lower bracket that I have, but I will try to fit the original type upper bracket instead of going "march" rod type.

So, what do you think will require the less modification to my upper bracket, 6 & 12 or 6 & 10 clocking?

I know when going with the smaller CS130 the best for stock brackets is 12 & 6 but the CS144 case is larger and I have not personally mounted one on stock brackets.

I can't even really guess properly without seeing a pic of the stock brackets on a big block.

I did some temporary measuring with the brackets today, and assuming that the distance from the mounting holes on the CS144 is 18,3 mm I believe that 6 & 12 will work. The upper radiator hose might get close to the upper alternator bracket tho. I'll post a reply on how this lines up.

Got the CS144. Not installed yet but a temporary measurement with the alternator in gives close to a perfect fit. Might have a small spacer on the upper mount rod and thats it. This was for my 427 BB w/o PS and original alt brackets. Alternator clocked at 6 & 12. I´ll post a pic when its in.
