Just pulled my comp cam XE268 out this weekend. Lobe wear was all over the place and a couple were pretty round. Going with a Voodoo in the new motor.

comparing the reliability of their hydraulic roller cams to their flat tappets is apples to oranges. do a search on comp cams flat tappet....it's not uncommon for these things to wipe a lobe/.

Well, finally got back to working on the engine again. Installed the crank and pistons this weekend. Next is the cam. Here's some pics (I'll post more as I go)

Crank installed (it was turned and balanced; mains were bored):

Pistons installed (new flat top pistons, Hastings rings, rods bored and reconditioned):

I was going to install the cam as well, but there was no cam lube it the box.

Anyone know if I will need to degree the cam?

That's it for now.
