Yes, the only issue that came up was a mis-aligned rear cam bearing. I will have to pull the rear freeze plug and try to align it from the back. If that doesn't work, I will need to pull it all apart and take it back to the machinest.

I went to pick up a block looked at it did not like the way the cam bearings were made them fix it before I took it home.

I had no problem telling the "expert" his people did not even know how to put in a set of cam bearings.

I should buy myself a cam bearing tool the luxury of just borrowing the cam tool from the machine shop has been long gone.

I tell myself old blocks have to be cleaned up at the machine shop so why should I buy a tool for something anybody can do.

The "expert" that prepped my block was a joke. Will never bring anything back to them, even if they have been in business for almost 75 years. New "expert" runs a sparkling clean shop and puts out a nice product. Now I am a strong believer in interviewing the person I will be donating handfuls of money to.

I just hope you don't have to pull it apart, theres a lot of time spent
trying to assemble something right.

I'm with you. The shop that installed the bearing wrong is working its way out of business. The owner is about 120 years old and didn't do a very good job passing down the family trade.

Been through that about 2 months ago, it lasts forever. Too bad about the cam bearing. What a stupid mistake by the engine guy. Unfortunately you can't bill for the time you've wasted.
