Reading the web site makes them sound credible...but I would choose to stay with someone local, so when it screws ( if it dos) up we can get face to face to resolve the issue.

Buying a remanufactured engine that has not been bored over, had the crank ground or what about a valve job, seems risky. The price scares me, too cheap!!

Don't just assume that because you are buying a "crate motor" that the higher price means that you are getting a better product. It may just mean that the seller demands a higher profit margin.
That said, I agree with G dad that dealing with someone locally is probably a better way to go even if it costs a few dollars more. This way you can check out previous customers for opinions.
