Inner front fender dust shield Install?
Does anyone have a picture on how the front fender dust shield goes on? I think it clips in from the engine side, but I'm not sure how the flap is supposed to lay on the upper A Arm. Does it hang on the inside of the engine comp. or on the outside of the wheel well?

They install from the inside. It covers most of the upper a arm so you can only see in inner portion of the a arm close to the bushings.
The notches cut into the flap are for folding the lower porting of the flap down at the inner edge of the a arm

Were they originally installed with pop rivits? I was reading about them on the c-2 forum an i guess there"s were installed with staples.

The dust covers on my 72 have both staples and push-in retainers.

I can only speak for my '69 with just the plastic pop rivets - no staples. I just checked the '69 AIM, and that's what it shows also, pop rivest, no staples. I suppose over the years Chevrolet used various methods of attaching them.

I'm almost positive that 68 was the last year to use staples.
