Fuel pressure regulator problem
Just installed an electric fuel pump and regulator. For some reason the regulator will be fine, but when I jump on the gas the preassure just keeps climbing. If I get out of the car and tap the regulator with a wrench the pressure goes back down to 5.75psi where I set it. The car will still run fine and have no leaks anywhere. Any ideas????

Best to re-check all instructions, fuel pump and regulator, make sure both are low pressure and compatible with each other.
Second, call tech support for both products and explain the situation.
What carb are you running?
Does the fuel pump need a return line and is it hooked up?

The pump and guage came together in a package deal from Jegs. The carb is a 4150 Holley and there are actually two guages in use. One under the hood and one above the hood so I acn watch it while driving. The one above the hood is temporary. Both guages read the same so it cannot be a guage problem...Thanks for your feedback and thoughts
