Default installing edl heads help,,asap

hi
in process of installing used edlbrock rpm 60999 64cc/1.60/2.02/170 head on my l48 i need to know :

-as they are used and face was less as per the heads shop who cheked them the surfice is less half mm less ( 05mm)

-what gasket shuld i use ?? fp or gm

-will the stock head bolts and rocker arm & pushrods work?

Not quite clear on your meaning are you saying the heads were surfaced. Is your block factory had no machining done to the decks ?

You need a head gasket that is compatible with aluminum heads. GM Performance Parts has good ones as does Fel-Pro. I've used Fel-Pros for 20 years and never had a problem. Do not use an OEM replacement as it's for iron heads.

The fact that the heads have been surfaced makes no difference. 0.5mm = 20 thou, no biggie.

You need to carefully inspect the deck of the block. Makes sure the surface is good and the deck is not warped (lay a straight edge across it).

the block is standrard never been toched surface is good and smoth ,,nothing was wrong
with the old heads just want to get some mild hp i got the fp head gasket set i think
friend of mine advice that i dont need the fp 1003 unless iam using netro or track race
