Default Crossfire to Carb Progress

Hello there everybody. I am just posting this to update on the progress on my CFI to Carb conversion. And will like to thank everybody that has helped me so far. Ok so far I have replaced the engine with a new 290HP GM crate engine. I installed some of the wiring for the lock up kit from Bowtie overdrive the one that comes with the brake switch.http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/cata...php?ITEMID=332

I still have to remove all of the wiring from the CFI and figure out what goes where as far as Vacuum lines and stuff. I will update as I go thanks.

Hey girlfriend!

Looking great!

Words of wisdom;
Coat headers
Wrap headers
Coat your intake with clear or paint
Add manual valve for heater, lowes $10

I'll send some pics of relay location later.

Best!
tt

BTW, 2nd place

One More;

Trying to save you and the husband alot of back and forth work.

When you get in around the front end, and start replacing bushings and stuff. If you want to REALLY make your Vette really sweet with a killer stance, and for the budget minded, cut one coil on the front springs, just one. Rear is lowered 1 1/2 inches as well.

OMG!! Thats a buueetifull call!! Love the way the paint shines with the lighting Should of won First Place. Ya I was thinking about wraping the headers but was worried that the wrap might burn off or something LOL. I am also thinking about pluging the intake and waterpump heater outlets since it gets really Hot here in san antonio and I doubt we will use the car if it gets too cold. Do I have to plug anything else to remove the heater?

It is no big deal to leave the hoses in place and just add a manual valve. You will find yourself one of these days out and it will get cool and you will wish you could just turn a valve and have heat, been there done that. The stock and aftermarket vacuum valves seem to fail often so most folks just add a manual. This one fit perfect, Lowes, 3/4 or 5/8 can't remember, $10.

Wow that looks easy and you also gave me an Idea of doing something similar to the fuel line. There has been ALOT of car boost and wanted to add something like that as a anti theft device.
