Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I have been checking daily for over a year and bought my first Corvette in August, a 78 Silver Anniversary. I look forward to interacting with the other members. The car is an L-48 and as stock as they come so modifications are in order. I would like to thank Ganey, Monty, and 73 LS-4 for there help thusfar.
I will try and post pictures as soon as possible and the addiction has taken hold. Just curious, where is the spellcheck for a post ?. I would like to remain as correct as possible.
Thank You for the welcome Sir, I think I made a good choice. I must admit I did have to look at the car a couple of times, the two tone has to grow on you.Mine has the red interior, silver tops,ps,tt,pw. I have started on the rear trailing arms, I suppose I might as well do the worst of it first. The car was well taken care of and in great shape and I knew suspension work was needed as everything is original down to the rivited ball joints but it drives good. After 20 years of military service (Army) I now have my dream.
Congratulations on your purchase......you made a wise decision entering the brotherhood of Corvette owners.......now pledge for your first task you must drink 78 live gold fish...........or is that the task for entrance into the Corvette Fraternity....I always get those two confused :D :D :D :D :D :D Welcome and enter at your own risk........crack may kill, but Vettes are more addictive :yesnod:
Pat, The wheels and tires were like night and day on the cars handling !!. I spoke with the previous owner and he knew it needed a little suspension work and thought it was an alignment problem causing the minor shake and traded the car in not wanting to do suspension work. A set of trailing arms are being built for it now, then its onto the front. Thanks again for the help.
Bryan, if you need a spell checker, I suggest you write your post in MSword than cut and paste into your post. It doesn't keep me from appearing to be an idiot, just a fairly good spelling idiot.
