My mechanic has recommended the following cam for my 1977, L-48. Automatic, car. Since I have been with the Forum longer than my mechanic, I would appreciate any feedback you may have. This is a Comp Cam.
Type RPM Range INT-DUR-EXH INT-060-EXH INT-LIFT-EXH LOBE C
dual energy

I'm not a cam expert at all (probably not even a cam novice), but from what I've read here I would think that cam is a little big for what you've got. I thought you had to have some aftermarket heads to use a 275. Also, I'm not sure what'll happen to your vacuum. I think I've read a couple of members getting recommendations directly from Comp Cams too; you may want to try that.
You'll get better answers than this I'm sure, but at least you're back to the top.
BTW, I thought you had a black Corvette
larry, what other mods do you have? IMHO, that cam is kinda steep for an otherwise stock l-48/auto. maybe with some better heads (or headwork), intake, exhaust and converter, that cam would be o.k. if the guts are stock, i'd say something in the 260-ish range is about the best your going to do.
