I'm told that I can't run a PVC valve on my blown engine (671) so I have K&N breathers on the valve covers, my problem is that the small amount of blowby that I have causes oil to drip from the breathers onto the valve covers and headers. I really don't want to just run a tube under the car and have oil on the underside either. Any suggestions?
Make a breather tank or buy one. Basically you run two hoses to a can that is baffeled on the inside so that the oil will drop out of suspension in the tank and then the air can escape through the breathers. I need to do the same thing on my car.
Something else that helps is to clean the K&N oil out of the breathers and leave them dry. That will help soak up the oil. Keep your eye on them and when they start get saturated with engine oil clean them out and stick them back in dry again.
