Default Power steering conversion.

I have a 70 non power BB car that I am converting to power steering with parts from my 75. Can I use the same steering box and pitman arm?

About a year ago, I asked the same question for a sb, so the answer that I got may not apply to your bb. I was told I could use the same steering box but a different pitman arm. Here's a pic of both pitman arms ... there are subtle differences.

Hope this helps, but you will need a better answer than mine. You might ask the vendors that sell the entire conversion.

Thanks, I have both arms. Just not sure if I need to switch boxes.

OK, so I swapped the PS on there and it was pretty straightforward. It helps to have a parts car. I bolted the PS brackets and pump to the motor and then went underneath.
I swapped steering arms using a puller and separated the tierod rods and idler arm with a puller and suspension forks.
Once you get under the car, you unbolt the inner tie rod ends, drag link and steering stud from the center link and unbolt the steering arm and take it out as one piece.
You then swap on the steering arm, bolt the cylinder bracket to the frame, bolt the tie rods, ball stud and idlerarm and attach the two hoses to the pump. You definitely need the special bracket bolts for the blind hole in the frame that are connected with a tie bar or you'll go crazy trying to get a wrench on them. I'll take some pics this week.
