Default 72 Rear Window Defogger??

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the 1972 coupe and the 1972 convertible rear window defogger (motor, duct work, gaskets, etc.)????

Hi 72BB,
In looking at the defogger option in my 71 AIM it looks to me like the coupe and convertible systems are very different. The blower motor is the same part # but they get mounted in two very different positions and use very different parts.
Regards,
Alan

on my 72 coupe the rear window defroster/ defogger is on the upper piller behind the driver over the left shoulder. It is controlled by a simple chrome **** type switch that on the little cover panel near the driver's right knee and the wiring goes through the rear wire harness plug extending back to the motor that is behind the right rear wheel well. Then the cheap little flex hosing goes up over the top of the wheel well and up to a little vent that goes through the hard plastic interior piece. I have no idea about the vert setup nor how or where the vent would be placed.

hth,

Sully

Here are some pic of the defroster in my '75 vert. I expect that the system was the same in '72.

Hi SG75,
Nice clear pictures!!!
The blower motor could hardly look anymore like a hair dryer if they had tried!!!
