When your throttle pedal is pushed all the way to the floor, you should not be able to open the linkage at the carburetor anymore. Maybe you could post pictures of the way your linkage hooks up to the carburetor now, and someone can tell you how to adjust it. Good luck.

When I put the Holley on my 69/350, I finally had to use a Lokar cable and bracket to solve the exact problem you are having. While I was at it, I also went to the 1 piece accelerator rod.

The Lokar setup does the job superbly! There are threads around with all the part numbers you need.

pws69 is right, Lokar makes the best. I also use a Lokar throttle cable on a Holley 4160, (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku), but was hoping you didn't have to spend $75.00 if all you need is an adjustment.
