You have to let us know how the install goes and how she stops. Those look cool!!!
Will do!
I am waiting to install them until I get my wheels and tires and mastercylinder. Hopefully the rest of the stuff will be here in a couple of weeks.
I was wondering about Four things in your picture.
Are those a differnt bolt pattern spindles with 1/2 inch studs?
wilwood aluminum hats comes in bolt patterns sizes. I had not seen a universal. Are you running special front wheels?
I see an adjustment ****, is for the front or the rear?
Are you using stock master cylinder?
Yes the front hubs have 4 3/4" and 5' patterns with 1/2' studs. The hats have multiple patterns as well. I believe you can get them either way but I figured the dual pattern hubs and hats were lighter. As far as the wheels, yes I will be running 18X8 Centerline Splitspokes.
The adjustment **** is the porportioning valve for the rear line. It will replace the factory junction block valve. The master cylinder is a Wilwood 1 1/8" bore. It is the same as the factory M/C.
I looked at your profile and you have a nice little hot rod. I would suggest at least 9 inch fronts. They work with either 255 or 245 widths.
Thanks for the kind words.
I have only had the car for about a year now and it is definately a work in progress. In retrospect i wish I had built a larger displacement engine (more power) for the car. I currently have the weight down to 3145 with me in the car and with the mods I am currently working on it should get a little more weight off. Less weight = more power. The car runs pretty well for what it is. Performance wise I have been 12.41 @ 117.9 with the stock 2.73 gear. The 60' times are horrible with the gearing, in the 2.2 - 2.3 range. I'm planning a swap to a 3.73 gear very soon that will give me a little more pep. I.m just not sure how long the aluminum diff. is going to hold up.
I have a 2.73 rear in my 67 Camero. With a non OD tranny it is great combo. I used to have various auto trannies in my Vette. Changing to a manual is like picking up 25 free hp. It actually made it fun to drive again. I went with the TKO 600
I kind of like going around turns so I have wider tires and wheels. I use 275 front and 315 or 335 rear for the street.
I bought the L-88 rear flare kit. I use 4 inch bs front with 10 inch wheels and the same 4 inch bs with my 9 inch wheels.
I have both 11X17 and 12X18 inch rears both with 6.5 bs and 2 inch wheel adapters.
I never really cared much if my rears stuck out. They had been for years. I had a pretty nice paint job and the cost of cutting, installing, repainted never fit in to my budget
What fluid do you plan on using? I want to have brakes that would not fail while out lapping. I also bought the the Thermlock piston option.
As for pads I went with the H compound and I would not recommend them for a street car. They give uneven braking when cold. You hit the brakes and you might go right or left and they are extremely dirty

I haven't decided as to what fluid to use. I like dot5 besause it doesn't eat anything in the system but I know from past experience it gives a spongy pedal. I know you are obviously hard on your brakes on the road coarses, what fluid do you recomend?
