Default Books...

I do not have much printed material on Stingray's. What book does everyone recomend.

Please keep in mind my Stingray is a 1974 with no engine or tranny, and I will be putting a 90's Fuelie LT1 with a T5 tranny, so a book that is very detailed on the L82's or 454's is not needed.

Thanks everyone who has helped me on here
Jayme

Not sure what your looking for exactly, but the Assembly Manual (AIM) or a GM Shop Manual would be much help to you in anything you'd like to do. The AIM is available for your cars specific year through any of the Vette vendors catalogs. I know ZIP has then and they are right here in the restoration store on the forum. Good Luck

I have found this book useful. ISBN 0-7603-0657-5.

I take my post back. You are looking for something newer. Sorry!

The "Chevrolet Corvette Restoration Guide" by Lindsay Porter is a nice book that covers some of the major systems (frame, brakes, suspension, interior, etc.). But it also covers engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, and buying a Corvette which might not interest you.

The "Corvette Black Book" by Mike Antonick is an good book for overall Corvette reference (covering from 1953 to present). It gives production numbers, block and head numbers, interior & exterior color codes, RPO numbers. I think it's interesting for anyone who owns any year Corvette.

BTW, Welcome to the forum. :seeya That sounds like a really nice project you've got going; I'd love to see pictures as you progress. :yesnod:

I like the Helms manual. They have a web site. I think they have a toll free number posted at the site. If they are out of stock on a manual they will help you get one. These can be bought much cheaper if you can find one on ebay. :conehead
