Vacuum Pump
I stumbled across this link a few days ago and I thought I would share. http://www.instructables.com/id/conv...ressor-into-a/ I thought it would be nice to have a portable constant vacuum source for troubleshooting and I had a cheap tire inflator on hand. I epoxied a small brass tube onto the mini compressors air inlet as described in the link and it work like a charm. It pulls ~20Hg with no issues. I "T"ed in a small brass valve to provide fully adjustable vacuum from 0 to 20Hg. The first thing I used it for was to catalog the handful of Quadrajet power piston springs in had. But, it could be used for all kinds of stuff, vac. advance, headlight and brake booster troubleshooting.
