Hi All, recently got my first vette 69 3x2. Does ant one knowwhere the red/white wire for the wiper motor connect. Its the inhibit until the door is fully open but I can't find a spot to plug it in on the motor.
Thanks
I have the bottom half of that conection, not the top half. Were does it go ?
The bottom half is part of the engine wiring harness. The top connector goes to the wiper override switch which is behind the metal plate in the picture with the button sticking through it which is shown better in the previous picture.
If the switch is missing, it is available from a number of sources. Here are the part number from Lectric Limited.
VWH6972 - WINDSHIELD WIPER DOOR LIMIT SWITCH LEADS
SWD2010 - WINDSHIELD WIPER DOOR LIMIT SWITCH
look in the post titled "line and wire id". he has posted a perfect picture of what you need. in the center of the first pic can be seen a red wire and two hex head screws. the screws attach a plunger to an actuator rod (that goes thru the cowl wall and attaches to the wiper door transmission), and this plunger works a switch that opens the wiper motor circuit unless the wiper door is open.
Thanks All, I should have been more descriptive. The wire from the limit switch to the wiper motor is where I derail. I now believe I have the wiper motor assembly for a car without a wiper door. does anyone have a photo of a 69 wiper motor?

As I said in an earlier post, the limit switch DOES NOT connect directly to the wiper motor so you will never find a connector on any wiper motor to connect the limit switch to. Here is a picture of the complete wiper motor from my '69.
Jay, thanks very much I now know I have the incorrect wiper motor assy. 69 had headlight washer, this is news to me. I have a motor without the extra weasher connection. I do have the wiring to support the wiper door but on the pic you sent, my assembly does not have that red wire coming from the back, thats the inhibit from the wiper door switch. I must also have a different console switch, how do you activate your headlight washer?
Thanks, Roger.

The headlight washer is activated by pressing and holding the washer button on the dash. As long as the button is held down the fluid is directed to the headlights by the valve at arrow "E". There are reproduction valves available for about $180 shipped
