Hi guys
Is this engine compartment original of a 1970 LS-5 454/390, seems to me the air intake and air injection reactor are missing
Other comments?

Highlight the image address, right click and "copy" then click the image tag on the bottom of the post. Then put the cursor between the IMG tags, right click"paste" and you are done. Hope that helps :seeya

You can't post from your home computer hard drive. Then have to be posted on the 'net somewhere. Sign up for the free CF homepages. That's what most of us use here.

My $0.02 worth:
Looks close to original. The headers are not original. There was no air intake system. The dual snorkle air cleaner was not attached to anything. I do not believe that the '70 LS5 came equipped with A.I.R. I believe the first year that it came on the LS5 was '72 (mine is suppose to have it). I am pretty sure that it is missing the Chrome top shielding for the distributor. The brake booster cover shouldn't be chrome.
That is all I can tell from the pics. Here is a pic of my '72 LS5 that shows you the distributor shield (not exactly like '70, but close) and the exhaust manifold:

Thaks for the reply
I think the reason for the missing shieding on the distributer is due to the car was originally ordered without radio, since the also the wires are not metal covered but in plastic.
