Default Beach Bend Dragway

Today was opening day for Beach Bend Dragway here in Bowling Green. I thought I would go out for the test and tune to see what the C3 would do with the minor mods I made over the winter. The only things I changed from last year were some very minor carb mods to the QuickFuel 830 and a different timing curve in the MSD distributor. I did not have the drag radials on the car just the crappy street tires. To my surprize the car ran better than it has ever ran before. I went the best of 12.24 @ 119.93 with a 1.90 60ft. This is still with the stock 2.73 rear gear. Unbelievable. I made 3 passes all within a couple of hundreths. I'm tickled pink with the performance with no more than just a mild 383. I can'y waite to get the 3.73 gear in it and get the funny gas on it.

Also at the track today was a very neat Turbo C3 that was extremely clean. I has a relatively mild small block with a very cleanly don blow through turbo system and runs like a striped a$$ ape. It ran a string of low 10 second 1/4 miles at 130 plus mph.
Here is a link to some pics of the car.

Belive it or not he is still running the factory aluminum diff with 3.08 gears. There is still hope for those of us running the aluminum diffs.
