After I put the troofs behind the seat it leaves no room for my speakers let alone anything else.I am thinking of storing them in the spare tire holder in blankets when I am travelling( yes I know what if i get a flat).Anybody tried this?

That sounds like a really bad idea.

really really bad idea. If you have a luggage rack on your car, they make a T-top holder for it.

Don't see a problem if they are wrapped in blankets.

Why is it a bad idea?

to make this a good idea, one would need to fabricate a hold down for the tops in the spare tire carrier, and then you would spend 45 minutes on your back on the ground getting them in and out. What happens when you are driving and it starts to rain?

Any Vette,
I happen to have a set of T-Top towers that attach to the luggage rack and they work great.

You just need to get creative...we pack for a whole week of power tour and still store the back window and the t-tops behind the seats. there's room you just need to find the best way to store everything. If you're careful you should be able to mount 6" round speakers in the B-Pillar trim pieces and that frees up a lot of space.

Ecklers sales a "Raincoat" top. You cant drive with it on, but you don't have to take the T-Tops with you.

i'm in college an hour away from home so each time I go home or have to move back in on campus I load my 1980 with all kinds of crap. You would not believe all the stuff I can fit in it. If I can put a rolling office chair in the back of my car, you can fit some T-tops in the back.
