orange could be memory, or speaker, black wire ground ,and green sounds like speaker wire maybe.most of the time red is power, blue it remote, and orange is memory,.

Most Pioneers were

Red = Power 12 volts key
Orange or yellow = 12 volts Hot all the time
Black = ground
Blue = power antenna
Bluew/white = Amp turn on
Gray = R+
Gray/black = R- Front & Rear
Green = L+
Green/black Left- Front & Rear
Gray/red = Right + rear
Green/red = Left + rear

Hope this helps but google your model number to get coorect codes per above

Back in the day I also installed a ton of stereo's you might want to check the Red and orange. I could be wrong but I thought that Orange goes to 12v switched, red goes to 12v constant. Just my .02

I think the orange wire is the memory for the stereo, which has to have power to it all time, or you would lose the clock setting, a long with the preset radio stations ,and the red wire goes to the key switch that powers up the radio.

Those should be the + as stated above. Black from Pioneer should be - on all.

So the black that leaves the deck that I now have directly to ground should go to one side of each speaker?

I have a new Pioneer DEH-P4000UB
yellow constant 12v power supply
red/12v controlled by ignition switch
orange/white to lighting switch terminal
black-to clean bare ground
left front speaker white+/white/black-
left rear speaker green+/green/black-
right front speaker gray+/gray/black-
right rear speaker violet+/violet/black-
system control for amp or auto antenna 300mA 12v max blue/white
For my Pioneer DEH-P4000UB bought and in stalled last year
The power antenna won't work so i have to take it back or find out if it took a dump
I took these right from the instructions for my Pioneer. If your lucky they have kept the same colors
