I am putting a used pioneer cassette in my car and don't know the wiring.Does anybody know what the orange wire does as well as black and green
orange could be memory, or speaker, black wire ground ,and green sounds like speaker wire maybe.most of the time red is power, blue it remote, and orange is memory,.
Red = Power 12 volts key
Orange or yellow = 12 volts Hot all the time
Black = ground
Blue = power antenna
Bluew/white = Amp turn on
Gray = R+
Gray/black = R- Front & Rear
Green = L+
Green/black Left- Front & Rear
Gray/red = Right + rear
Green/red = Left + rear
Hope this helps but google your model number to get coorect codes per above

Back in the day I also installed a ton of stereo's you might want to check the Red and orange. I could be wrong but I thought that Orange goes to 12v switched, red goes to 12v constant. Just my .02

I think the orange wire is the memory for the stereo, which has to have power to it all time, or you would lose the clock setting, a long with the preset radio stations ,and the red wire goes to the key switch that powers up the radio.

The power antenna won't work so i have to take it back or find out if it took a dump
I took these right from the instructions for my Pioneer. If your lucky they have kept the same colors
these pics are of a couple of wires under the dash. are these the red and orange (power and memory respectively) you all are speaking of? thanks for the help, this is the last step in my stereo installation.
