Hello All
I am planing to paint my car this spring. While I have painted corvettes before I have never painted flames or ghost flames. I was wondering if there is any one out there that has done this before. I would like the flames to be very subtile and I need some advice
Thanks in advance.
Most if not all guys who paint ghost flames fall into the 'artist' category, so even if they explained the technique you might not be able to get it right unless you have the 'artist's eye'. My son learned all of those techniques in a sign-artist course. He has explained how custom painting effects are done, but there is no way I could duplicate the kinds of things that he can do.
You might have to do a good basic paint job, have someone come in to add the ghost flames and then do the clearcoat.

Rick is correct. Lay out and design is important, but ghost flames coming out of the side vents onto the door would look great if done right.
