I think that this paper should be of value to you. I think that several people have made this installation. Unfortunately, I haven't had any feedback from any of them on how their final fitup to the instrument cluster worked!

The 1977 column should fit fairly closely. The 1978 through 1982 columns will have to have the plastic shroud cut back as outlined in the paper.
