I just re-installed the TH400 transmission into my '69 vette and do not recall how to setup the shifter linkage. If anyone has any pics of their shifter linkage attachment to the transmission and how to adjust, that would help a lot!
I believe i have it attached correctly, but i am unable to get the key back to the lock position on the ignition and it will not engage the parking pawl either.
This is a picture of a TH400 shifter cable arrangement from a '71 after installation , hope it will help.
And regarding the adjustments, I didn't need any, just bolted everything together and the shifter is now working just as before, I even cant recall any adjusting point in it.
I removed the TH400 shift cable off of my '72 to add a new rubber boot, and as far as I can remember, there were no adjustments, nor, any way to adjust. I just bolted it right back on.

Yeah thats what I thought, too. Where did you get the rubber boot from? .. mine is deteriorating and cant find a replacement! .. I even was embaressed when I posted that pics with that half-arsed linkage boot!
Nobody sells just the boot. I found the boot at a corvette show - there were lots of vendors there and I purchased a complete used cable assembly with a very good boot for just $10. Look for used vette parts suppliers - like CBVETTES (www.cbvettes.com). You will probably have to buy like I did. Good luck!
Thanks for the pic and the fast response! It turned out that I had it set up properly but the steering column lock cable was inoperable and needs to be replaced.
