Default Cam Swap Question

I've swapped out a few cams on different vehicles, mostly trucks, with the engine still in the vehicle. My wife has a 1976 and I was wondering if it's possible to do the swap with the engine still mounted in the car. The lack of power for this year is just untolerable. Thanks

When I did my top end upgrade I swapped my cam still in the car took the radiator out and took the bolts out of the ac cond. and moved it up out of the way. All went well a bit of a pain getting the bolts out of the ac cond. I hope this helps.

What cam did you go with. I don't want to go radical.

Everything is in my Sig a Comp Cam 270H Good torque cam turn on from 1800 to 5800 rpms. You do not have to change torque converter.

Remove the hood and the radiator and you are good to go. I put in a Comp XE268 in my 74/454. Too rough idle for an auto trans. I ended up going with a High Energy old design 260H. Smooth idle...makes stupid torque thru 5000. Go by a GM dealer - get you a 16oz bottle of EOS "assembly lube" for break in.
