Can an engine builder see the different between a solid roller cam and a hydraulic roller cam?, and can he see the different between solid roller lifters and hydraulic roller lifters:*****

I could be wrong here, but if you take the valve covers off and push down on the pushrods with the motor off they should go down a liitle if they are hyraulic. I do not think you would be able to see if they are rollers though.
