Help please 72 Corvette 454 four speed Water pump question
What is the correct part number please for a 72 454 Corvette water pump.
I can see only the numbers 8982-1 on my BB water pump
Should the number be (CASTING NUMBER) 3992077 with a date code for example C17 72

according to the NCRS technical manual."For 1972, the casting number was 3992077 with the possibility of the 386100 being used" sorry as it did not refer to any of the date codes for the water pump.If I find anything further that I think is usefull, I post back later.
