Have a 69 and am hooking up a electric fuel pump and electric cooling fans both to switched or key on power.Where do you guys connect them to. The only terminal I found on the fuse block was marked ACC and it does come on with the ign switch so I hooked my fans to this and they worked for a second and went dead. Now the ACC terminal is dead as well. There is no fuse for it that I can see, anyone know?. All the fuses test good in the block.
You need to run both of those thru relays. You can take the main relay power from the starter. Then you can find a wire that powers when the key goes on to trip the relays. I'm not sure where you can look on a '69 for that one. But the fans must have relays or you will always have issues with them.
first
upgrade your alternator to a cs130 or a cs144 alternator.
then run a wire from your starter lug to a fuse to a relay to the fan
power the relay with the yellow wire from the wiper motor.
ground the relay with a temp sensitive switch screwed into the head.
use at least a 75 amp relay
there are few posts around here with links to write up paperwork
Thanks for the help so far, but does anyone know why my ACC terminal in the fuse is no longer powered with the key on or off.It had power but now it's gone and there is no fuse in the box for this ACC spade. Is it not fused?.

Probably a fusible link somewhere down the line that blew like it was supposed to. A fan that draws 20A is gonna blow that link. My Spal fan came with a relay- the low amp relay wire is on my ACC and the big amp wire to the fan is on the alternator.
"the low amp relay wire is on my ACC and the big amp wire to the fan is on the alternator." That's exactly how I wired mine, just like yours. Now gotta find that fusible link..oh boy.

Wish I could help ya there- don't know where the link would be.
When I started my new 427, as soon as it got warm and the fan should've come on - it didn't. Ran fine by jumping a wire from the sensor to ground before I ever started the engine. Thought I mis-wired it and so much for getting it running that day, remembered it has an inline fuse- that was blown- but that only means there's a short. Not thinking, I replaced the fuse and pulled it into the garage to tear out the wiring, and realized the fan was running with the engine on! Never had a problem since- must've been a bad fuse that came with the fan. If there's a bad fusible- possible it's wired right and it'll be OK once it's replaced.
