Default 69 shifter adjustment

Do you have to make the flat bar to slide into the slots.

You can make one the right size from one of those old plastic paint scraper/ putty knives that you have hidden with all your old paint brushes and dried up cans of house paint.

It wasn't that hard to make and you feel pretty good after you're done with it...

Nah! You can grab the shift handle and move it from reverse to 3-4 gate while a helper adjusts from below. You can even get a lot better adjustment out of it that way if you have a worn or sloppy shifter. It's easy to feel when the adjustment is right.

If the shifter is worn or sloppy, using the gauge doesn't give you a good adjustment.

Suggest not sending your wife or girl friend under the car though...better to let them handle the shifter duties topside.

Hey McFast- 2 questions-

1) who let you out of the C1/C2 section?

2) why are you digging up dormant posts from April 2009?

1) How do you know I post on the C1/C2 section. I thought you had one of them there rubber bumper jobs.

2) 'Cause I didn't like the answers I read here.
