Changed my hood release cable a few weeks ago. The right side would stick a little. Well, today it wouldn't release. I removed the rubber plug on the fire wall. Question is. Witch way do I push to release the latch. What tool did you use to release yours.
i had this happen a few years ago and it really sux. im not at home to look for you but if memory serves me well i used a long flathead and i believe there is a flat spot on the latch that you have to push.
For the pass. side latch you push the vertical lever toward the inside (center) of the car. There is also a small tab that you push down on. That one pivots horizontally. Just use a screw driver. The driver's side needs a tool at least 17" long to get to the latch.
That's just what I was looking for. Thanks. Oh by the way. I bought my vette from a guy who lives off 44 out by I-295. His name is Johnny Shell. Do know him? He's around 56
