main thing I have read here on this is count the old shims and replace them back the same as they were. you only have to raise the body a little but make sure EVERYTHING is loose that needs to be, up front with the core support/brackets mainly. there are post of step by step details with pics.. good luck finding them.. the search SUCKS.. just feel like saying that every chance I get, till somebody tells me its fixed and shut up..
I see what ya mean.. my mounts, reinforcments and all was just changed right before I got it but I have no idea what the shop did as far as that goes, gaps are all decent and thats about all I know to look at. Have you checked real close and confirmed that its the body not sitting right on the frame? and not the body and frame sitting uneven to the ground because of a spring issue?
I would guess the logical answer is that you want a certain amount of weight distributed evenly on each body mount so as to not have stress in the body at any particular point.. there was probably a procedure at the plant...
