auto trans question

ok so now i got my motor and trans out of my car got an 81 and as uare aware its got a lock up trans in it my question is iam removing all the comp stuff and emmisions and i need to know how do i rewire up the trans for the lock up to work or can i just go to a non lock up converter or do i need to go to a differnt trans ?

Just because you want to remove 'emission' stuff doesn't mean you have to remove the ECU. Leave it in, along with necessary sensors, to operate the tranny properly.
