Default Edlebrock Intake Install

I need to know if anyone has ever intsalled an Edlebrock Intake part # 2701 on their 350 & if hood clearance was an issue. I plan on using a holley 3310 carb. that a universal carb. I also have the LT1 factory hood, that's the same as the 454 & 427 factory hood. I hoping that someone will share their experiences with on this. Thanks in advance to everyone

Cruzzin, Edlebrock told me to install either 2101 or 5001 in my 68. I chose the 5001. I have a 327 with a stock hood. Let's see if someone else pipes up here...

I can't remember model numbers, but i have a performer intake/ Edelbrock carb. Dropped base with 2" element leaves about an inch with a factory smallblock hood.

I want to install the Edlebrock 27034 intake which is the EnduraShine one. It looks pretty much like the 2101 which is the universal intake for the SBC. I'm just wondering if the 27034 is higher than the OEM stock 350 LT1 4 barrel intake.

George: What carb are you running? How much clearance do you have from hitting the hood?
the 2101 looks to be a slightly lower rise than the 2701. Front rise is 3.50 & rear rise is 4.60 on the 2101, whereas the front rise is 3.74 & rear rise is 4.80 on the 2701. Edelbrock claims either one will work under the stock hood, but I just wanna be sure.

Anyway, there doesn't look to be much difference between the older stlye 2101 & the newer 2701. Wish I knoew for sure.

For perf., the previous 2101 or 2701.
Edelbrock tech. on current 2101 "our current generation produces more street friendly low end torque."

I'm running the Edelbrock Performer RPM with a Holley 650DP and it clears the stock hood fine with a drop base aircleaner in my '75.

Have the 2701 on my '79 with EDL 1411 carb (no spacer) and stock snorkel airfilter: fits perfectly.

I have the 2101 and same holley 3310 with an LT-1 hood and the max air cleaner height from the flange is 3" and that includes the wing nut.. As mentioned in a above post, you could use a drop base too.

Default Thanks FishnDude

FishnDude - So what year?

If your running the 2101 - the 2701 is approx. 1/2" higher rise than the 2101. If you say you got 3" clearance, then I should be "good to go" using the 2701 with the 3310 carb. I'm gonna be using the drop base air cleaner. Actually, it was a "Stock" air cleaner cut down. So, my base is the stock OEM drop base.

Thanks again for posting.

FishnDude: Nice "Ride". I use to run 15x8 Cragars & white lettered tires on mine for a long time. But, now I'm redoing the car & opted to go to 17x8 billet aluminum rims.

The car's still under construction Been working on it for quite awhile. Keep running outta "cash"

But, I'm finally getting the major stuff done. Paint, motor, trans, etc.
you know how that is.

Someday, I'll have pics to post too !

So, I'm gonna order the 27034 Intake like I want. It's the EnrduraShine one with the oil fill tube.

When I get that intake, it will replace the one I have now. I was using a stock OEM 327 intake from a 1966. That one will be For Sale, if you know anyone looking for one.

I also got a set of OEM 350 heads. The double hump ones; the "power pack" heads. They're in good shape, but would probably need freshing up.

Thank for posting "FishnDude"
