No 71 LT-1's with A/C or automatic trans.. There were some publications (Chilton Manual) and early GM info that were in error. It listed engine code CJK as a 330 hp and a/t . It was in reality a base (270hp) engine. So there were two codes for the base engine with a/t which is sorta strange. The engine ID digit you spoke of wasn't used until '72. hope this helps

As Silvervetteman says, 72 was the ONLY year the LT1 was offered with AC. This was because of the higher RPM limit of the solid lifter motor. I think the only other solid lifter small blocks available with AC were the 64 and 64 365HP cars. Check this car out carefully :) Might be a "base motor" car rebuilt to LT1 specs. Chuck
Ah, once again someone puts an LT-1 hood on a Vette and advertises it s an LT-1. This person obviously knows nothing about Corvettes or they wouldn't bother trying to pass that car off as an LT-1. This should tell you the value of anything else they say about that auto. Let this one pass.
