I have the fuel line from Summit that has the gauge that screws into it.
The needle jumps from 2 to 9 all the time.
The old fuel pump pulsed real bad so I got a new one,it doesn't pulse in the line but the gauge says something has a great varation in it.
Do you think the gauge is just not that accurate?
The car starts and idles fine.
Tim,
This is typical with a mechanical fuel pump. The guage is picking up the pulse between strokes,. You wont get that type of variation with an electric pump. Summit and others sells a liquid filled guage that will reduce the variation.
