Default Help With Hydroboost/Steeroids Connections Please

Working with Gordon today and made great headway on the 77 Red project car (thank you Gordon). Looking ahead slightly we decided to attach brackets for the Steeroids unit and all is looking good. We are also installing a Hydroboost system in the car and seem to have run into a question regarding the Pressure Line we need to use.

These are the two ends of the Pressure Hose that has come with the Hydroboost kit. One is larger (blue) than the other and the two flairs are different from one another. I am not certain

Is anyone out there familiar with this set up and do you have any information regarding braided line (high pressure line) length, fitments and sourcing?

Any and all information will be welcomed.

Thank you.

David, the high pressure fitting on the rack takes the same fitting as the high pressure side of your hydroboost. It takes the areoquip FBM2609. You need to put a new end on your line coming from the hydroboost. If you are using #6 hose then you need these two fittings, a FBM2909 and a FBM1122.

In the pictures, the blue end is your high pressure hydroboost end and the other end is your power steering pump end. It is your other hose that you will need to modify the rack end.

This is the parts list for making up a hose set for Steeroids/Hydroboost from Summit

AER-FBM1122 3 BRAKE FITTING
AER-FBM1144 1 #6 90. ELBOW INVERTED FLARE
AER-FBM2608 1 ADAPTOR
AER-FBM2609 2 ADAPTOR
AER-FCC0606 1 #6 TFE hose s/s cover

Thank you Binnie.
I have been reading your article on this install and I feel dense, but learning all the time. The picture I am using as my guide is the one you included and I have attached here.

I realize I need a few parts to do what you are suggesting, haven't purchased any braided lines yet, have to determine how long they need to be and which aeroquip lines to buy. I sure appreciate your help on this and once the line length and style are known I will get all these parts ordered.
Thanks again Binnie.
David

EDITED, got the list now from Binnie and will get the order moving with Summit. Thank you sir, I owe you at least one cold one...

David, that Summit part number for hose is a 6' length and you will have about 3" left over, depending on how you route the hoses

Thank you again Binnie. I also added the 2909 for the return line you mentioned and that should be the complete order to Summit.
Thank you sir, much appreciated.

That is the teflon lined hose I assume. David, this will be nice we can custom make the lines to whatever length we need. I got lines with mine and wish they were a few inches longer. Isn't that always the case "just a few inches longer"

LOL.

So Guys... I just received my hose and fittings order from Summit only yesterday and I'll be building my custom lengths soon too. This will be the first time I cut and fit braided teflon hose; saved this link from another post so I learn how to do the job right.

You may know of it and in case you don't, hope it helps:

Gotta love pictures to show the way...
