Default '73 Sway bar, missing or RPO?

While having my '73 up on my garage lift the other day I noticed it had no sway bar. I recently bought the car so I'm not that familiar with it. I would think that all Corvettes would have them since it is a performance car.

Is the sway bar a suspension option? Does anyone have a pic of a '73 with the sway bar attached. Maybe I'll buy one and put it on.

Default Front or back?

Do you mean the front or the back sway bar. The front is standard, and the back is an option.

I just bought a parts car that came with the sway bars, both front and back. The front one is attached to the car, but the back one is loose, and I am not sure if all the mounting hardware is in the boxes or not.

The best place to see what it looks like is Corvette America or one of the vendors that sells car parts. They have drawings and cut aways showing the bars on the car.

I would also suggest getting an assembly manual. (I happen to have 2. I meant to get a 72, and ordered a 73 by mistake).

Shoot me an email, and I can make you a deal on the bar or bars and the assembly manual:

Thanks for the response Curby. I have the assembly manual, overhaul manual and repair manual. I didn't realize the rear sway bar was an option. It was the rear I was referring to. I'll check the AIM and educate myself a bit.
