I stripped the nut on a brake caliper beeder valve. All I could find was "Help Speed Bleeder" valves. I installed one and it would not gravity bleed. I assume with the check valve you need to pump the brake petal which I did and got a good flow while pumping with no back flow.
Question, I pumped them very easly with the MC cover off (if you pump to hard it splashes out). Do you need to have the MC cover on to bleed with these speed bleeders (and with the brake pumping method in general)? I might replace them all, seemed to work pretty good.
I have 6 speed bleeders installed on my C3. I do not pressurize the MC as some do but this is the ultimate fastest method as it eliminates the need to apply the brake pedal. I remove the MC cover, open the particular bleed valve and attach a hose to the bleed valve to collect the fluid. I slowly apply brake pressure, two full strokes. If the hose is uniformly full of fluid with no bubbles of air, I move to the next bleed valve. I check the level of fluid in the MC and apply the brake again, etc.
